Really torn between this decision. When shooting my bow I see green better but I've heard it's different in a reflex. When looking at both side by side they seem similar. Any suggestions? I know everyone's eyes are different

Now this might be the best example of over thinking it ever.

I have Holosun's in both Red and Green dot and to tell the truth I prefer the green dot better.

Actually, no, it isn't.

If you have an astigmatism Red will look like a starburst and be hard to focus on. Green is a lot clearer (I have an astigmatism).

True enough.  Still.  Not long range precision shooting.  Have no problem with red and my astigmatism, even with the starburst.

So while that's a valid reason to choose green, it's still a personal preference.

Someone else would say their backdrop is green so green isn't great.

I have a red dot Holosun and plan on getting a green dot to try.

I own 3, 2 red dots on shotguns and just put a green dot on a target pistol.  I had heard the merits of green vs red (green better for astigmatism, better in daylight, etc.). Don't know that I have any preference yet.... Probably not a big enough difference to fuss over.  Get whichever one is priced good or whichever color you like!

Green seems like it might wash out easier in the spring woods?  Also green seems tougher on battery life.

I have a cheap for on my AR and it has both, I prefer the red.

Holosun 507c green, I just adjust brightness to not have green background problems.
