Strutting hen?

Have seen this in the wild and with my birds. Have a Bourbon Red that strutts nearly every day now. She lost her buddy to a coyote last fall and hasn't been the same since.

Have had 3 hens with spurs that would strutt.
There was a wild hen with a clutch of poults I would pass on the dirt road at camp. I'd stop and whistle a key kee and she would gobble at me.

Yes. Few years ago had that same thing happen to me. Mine even did some sort of a gobble.  Not loud but it was a couple times. My wife was there to witness it also.
