Virginia Longbeard Help?
April 15, 2022, 01:55:52 PM
I am here in Arlington, VA doing some work until the end of May. I ended up bringing some hunting gear since I was here during turkey season. Having a hard time finding a decent place to hunt. Can anyone suggest some public land that might be decent? If it makes any difference I am archery hunting as well. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Might check out the WMA's. I've never hunted any but there should be birds. Let me know if you give it a try.

Went to Big Woods WMA. No luck. Saw a few hunters but wasn't too bad for a weekend. No birds and no sign for all the walking around. It was good to be out.

Might look into hunting Quantico. I have never done it but I have heard there are birds there.

Thanks 1st Draw. It was a process but I am in. They even have archery only units that I can hunt. Thanks for the suggestion. This will keep me busy the rest of the season. Now I just have to find a bird. Lol.
