Rounding Pointy Strikers

From playing on my pots, a couple of my strikers have gotten a bit pointy instead of round. Getting a bit of a burnish in the center of the striker head, also.

Only conditioning I have done is with Scotch Brite, rotating.

Unsure if the best path forward is to do a great number of circular rotations in the palm with 80-grit or if some other course of action is needed.

I like to keep a few pieces of sandpaper about 3" sq folded up in an altoids tin with the rest of my conditioning stuff. It rides in my vest during the season. When striker tips get shiny/burnished rotate the tip around ccw and cw. It will restore the surface a bit. 120 to 180 grit usually does the job. Same grit performs for other surfaces too.
