A friend has a lead on a Tristar o/u, 12 gauge, 31/2" factory camo'd Hunter and I told him I would make a few inquiries about performance, patterns, quality, barrel regulation, etc.. Apparently the only info that he could elicit from the seller is that it "kicks like hell" with 31/2", 21/4 oz. loads to the point that he's "not that mad at turkey's" and is willing to sell cheap.

So why don't he just shoot 3" or 2.75"?

I shoot Fed hw 4's in mine for geese..not as bad as a supermag or mossberg. If I wanted to shoot cottonballs at turkeys Id opt for the light load.
